Spoiler:
Postponing the release of your documentary is not unlike recognizing faults in Game of Thrones: only the first time is hard; afterwards, there can be no end to it.
The release of “Fair Game” was hit by a series of misfortunes, resulting in the most frustrating month I experienced in a while. But, it wouldn’t be fair to blame it all on bad luck. Truth be told, I used every delay to work some more on the movie and improve (or “improve”) some things. That also took time, and created issues on its own, that had to be treated too later on.
Majority of those interventions were about my English. I reshot my narration God knows how many times, but even now I’m not completely satisfied with the result. That’s why the only English part of the documentary that is subtitled are the words I speak.
I deeply, humbly and sincerely apologize for announcing release dates that turned out unrealistic. And I am very grateful for the patience many of you showed.
All in all, Fair Game is finally released. It is a small, independent documentary, that attempts to offer a different perspective on Game of Thrones as a cultural phenomenon, through the series of interviews with people that have interesting things to say either about the show itself, or about the universe it exists in. The movie was financed by a couple of individuals who believe that Game of Thrones and everything around it really should be fair game, and hugely helped by friends and associates listed in the end credits.
